Spread Betting is a form of trading stocks, or any other security by placing your trades on a brokers/bookmakers price rather than the actual market. Trading this way means (in the UK) you don't pay any stamp duty or become liable for capital gains tax on your profits (if there are any!).. But lets get down to the nitty gritty, stocks, indices, forex or commodities, ideas to trade or charts to watch... :) All welcome..
Closed forex position won't disappear on paper trading account?
Hi, I closed a forex position a while ago on my paper trading account, but it won't disappear from my monitor tab. I know it usually takes a market day for a closed position to disappear, but it's been about a week and it hasn't gone away. I've also reset my paper trading account a couple times to try and get it to disappear, but that hasn't worked either. Here's a picture: https://imgur.com/ukhijpv I know it's a little thing, but I would like to fix it if possible!
Has anyone else noticed stop farming or price manipulation on TD Ameritrade? They recently decided to close their forex trading everyday between 5 and 6pm EST. Coincidentally that's the time the presidential daily briefing occurs. They stated that they are closing forex during that time because it is the least amount of volume during that time. However it has been the most volatile hour in the past few weeks. When I call them on their price manipulation as I monitor it on other platforms they constantly recommend changing my chart settings from bid to ask or vice versa. Just a constant charade and a disappointing one. Anyone else experiencing this with TD?

When I'm having a profitable trade I want more and more € which leads to the profit going down and down to a loss. When do you close it or what strategy do you use? Thanks 🤙🏼
i trade at forex.com, usually the weekend spreads open up wide, but for some reason this week they widened up for a brief moment and then they closed up to zero pips spread.. weird.

Forex trading is available 24 hours a day from 9:00pm GMT (10:00pm BST) until 9:00pm GMT (10:00pm BST) on Friday, including most U.S. holidays. Please be advised of the potential for illiquid market conditions particularly at the open of the trading week. You can close your FOREX brokerage account any time you wish. However, you must first ensure that you do not have any open positions or bids, and that you have paid off any margin debt and fees. You can close open positions, but your broker may allow you to transfer them to another broker instead. The problem is that Open/Close levels do not mean much for D1 or lower timeframes in foreign exchange market. While daily Open/Close levels are very important in stock market, there is nothing special about daily Open/Close in Forex (except, maybe, Monday Open and Friday Close at GMT). Forex is a 24/5 market and is already very intensive compared to for example the stock market. If you have trades open, you’ll be thinking about it for the entire weekend. On the other hand, if you closed your trades, you can enjoy some free time, review your past trading week and plan for the upcoming week without worrying if you will still ...
